nystatin after *every* feed? and diflucan 7 days after last symptom?

DD tolerated nystatiin for the first 2 days, but now she wakes up and cries when i try to swab it in her mouth. (i've also done it w/ finger and squirted it - she just hates the stuff) yesterday she slept barely at all, soo then i skipped a few applications to let her (and me) sleep. am i going to regret this? the nystatin seemed to be working for her - she was back to her regular eating pattern - but this morning she was fussy and kept pulling off the breast. i couldn't tell if it was because she was sleepy from not seeping enough yesterday, or bc her mouth was hurting her.

i'm on diflucan day four and my symptoms are almost gone. I have five more pills left. however i've read that it's best to continue treatment for 7 days after the last symptom has gone. i am going to call dr on monday to see what they say but would like to hear others' experiences

Maybe try Gentian violet for the baby

I had yeast issues start on my breast and used garlic plus swabbed my breasts with vinegar and let them air dry after every feed. It cleared in a couple days.

When my firstborn had thrush (she was 4 months old) my doc let her use Diflucan instead of the topical treatments. It worked quickly with no side effects.
