CONGRATS, w&h!!!! Woooohooooo! I'll be standing by for your a-ok to be moved. Whenever you're ready, my friend!

cejae, welcome back! I moved ya!

wehrli, yep! I used the Instead Cup. What would you like to know? I loved it because nothing leaked out. Definitely allowed me to "go about my business," though I still meditated a bit and though fertile thoughts. lol!

Spcd ((hugs)) that realy sucks. W&H I am so happy for you congrats.
Afm: we took clomid on cd 4-9 follie check on cd 11 one nice follie. Blood work showed natural surge. Woke up on cd 12 with ovulatory type cramping around 6:00. Iui'd at 10:30 on cd 12. Now on cd 13. 1 day down 13 left to obsess. Wondering if this insane gas I've had all evening could be a early pregnancy sign lol. Probably just the butter beans I had for lunch.

Lyndzies, did you use a syringe first and then insert the cup? i used some for the first time during my last AF, i thought they were pretty cool! i wonder though if it would be best to put the swimmers directly into the cup and then insert or use the syringe and then put the cup in... it seems as though some could be pushed outside of the cup if placed after inserting the sperm with a syringe. i just wondered how you did it since it did work for you (even if it didn't stick, still very sorry for your loss...).

afu, next insem is tentatively on next friday night and sat morn...

Yes, that's exactly how I did it. I didn't notice any leakage after inserting, although I wasn't quite as worried about that as you may be, since we're using fresh semen (therefore a larger quantity... so if I "lose" a teeny bit it's not the end of the world). I personally would be paranoid putting it right in the cup and then inserting because I'd be afraid I'd spill it!

I think the reason I didn't have any "spillage" was because I still insemed as one would normally -- on my back w/ hips elevated -- so that the semen was in the vaginal pool due to gravity and therefore the Instead cup could be inserted while in this position... thereby not "pushing" any out.

LOL, I don't know if that makes ANY sense. Someone needs to draw a diagram. Anyone feeling creative?

beta hcg #2

HCG=135
Progesterone=23.7

I'm still too nervous to get super excited yet. I'm almost cautiously optimistic I'm scared to jinx it (I know, I know...)

(and, for the record, this was an iui, but when I got pregnant in January I did use the diva cup--using the method used by Lyndzies)

spcd, my thoughts are with you and your dp.

wishin'&hopin', : congratulations! and sending lots of good wishes that everything goes smoothly!

Guess I'll take the plunge

BHCG-833
Prog-15.5

So, the progesterone dropped (I loved the part where they told me it could be lab error and while still okay, they did put me on prometrium support "just in case". So, I'm not unequivacably at ease but I can only be tentative for so long before I NEED to accept that I am preggers and have some serious optimism that I will stay that way

Thanks for the well wishing, stick little bean!

wishin'&hopin', this is great news! Nothing wrong with "just in case" measures.

Does this mean you're ready to graduate to August BFPs??? :
post #51 of 115

matriculation

yup, bump me to graduates (woo-hoo!) and I hope I'll see you all there soon (and I'm praying I stay there).

Yay! I moved ya. FX that you stay there and that more join you this month and in the successful cycles that I KNOW are approaching for others!

Soooo... let's see. Who's doing what right now? ....

hoping2bmoms, I hope the obsessing isn't too bad yet. I'll not ask you about any "symptoms" so as not to encourage such behavior.

cejae- how many DPO are you? I hope this TWW isn't too tortuous!

milletpuff- one week down, one to go! Thinking about ya!

chicagoml, nickole20, and riley- haven't heard a peep from you this month, it seems! Hope all is well.

wehrli- you getting in a good mindset for Friday/Saturday insems? Have you decided about the Instead cup?

To everyone else,

AFM, temp drop this AM. AF should be arriving soon. I've never been so excited to bleed and move on before.
post #53 of 115
Congratulations wishin'&hopin'! I'm thinking good thoughts for you.

AFM, I'm 8dpo. Usually I start spotting today and my period arrives on 10dpo. *But* the clomid totally messed with my cycle - moved up my ovulation by 4 days. So who knows what's going to happen! I haven't had any clomid side effects (aside from crying every time I saw a kid at the airport when I was traveling last week - what the hell?) until Sunday. I had mild cramps/backache like I was having my period. The cramps even woke me up at 2 am. So who knows...

Oooh, cejae... FX!!! How long do you have to wait to test before the trigger is out of your system? Exciting stuff. Hopefully the weird cramps are a good sign.
post #55 of 115
Hey Lyndzies, I POS this am to make sure that the trigger was out of my system (I'm 10 days past the trigger shot). So fingers are crossed now...I got pregnant the one month I did femara (if only briefly) so I'm hoping Clomid works slightly better!
post #56 of 115
Lyndzies, we're waiting to O. We haven't posted for a while because we were so bummed out since our last cycle was unsuccessful. I'm hopeful that next month will be our month.

Have any of you ever had your tank longer than 7 days and had to use dry ice? Our sperm bank will not be shipping from Sept. 2-15! DP should O on the 16, of course, so we'll have the dewar tank from the 7th-15th, having to refill each day with dry ice. Bleh.
post #57 of 115
nickole, are you using midwest?? i heard they were going to be closed... bummer! i am pretty sure that if we are unsuccessful this month, we will be taking a month or few off so we won't have to worry about this "shut down".

cajae, FX for you!!!

w&h, "matriculation" great word. i just love words... yay that you got to matriculate!!

lyndzies, i am totally psyched about doing a morning insem and using the instead cup!! as it stands we will be doing one on fri and one on sat morning...

i have a great feeling about this one, my cousin just had her babe yesterday afternoon and we've always wanted to have our first within 9 months of each other. we were born 2 days shy of 9 months apart... her mother says the day she saw me, she decided that she was ready to be a mom and she claims my cousin was conceived that night. so we are going to visit the baby on friday morning, so maybe my body gets some good baby vibes.

sorry for the rambling story... but i always thought it was a cute one.
post #58 of 115
Wehrli- Yes, we are using Midwest. It sucks because we took last month off, so we really don't want to take another month off. Joanne sure seems to be out of the country a lot...
post #59 of 115
Yeah!!! :: Congrats wishin &hopin!!!

Stick baby stick!
post #60 of 115
: Woooo hooooo! Yay W&H!!! Sending lots of good STICKY vibes!

AFU... Donor boy arrives Friday afternoon... still just waiting.
