Stripping Diapers

Thread Starter
I just bought a couple of kissaluvs used from someone in town. I'd like to strip them to make sure that my LO is only being exposed to 1 form of detergent at a time.
All I need to do is boil them for like 10 min. right? Then send them through a nice cold cylce in the wash? Or am I missing something?

You should not boil anything that has elastic or snaps, so don't boil the KLs. Just put them in the washer and wash them on the hottest cycle with no detergent. Keep washing until no more suds appear. Done!

I rinse them in cold water first (for a long time, I usually put them in the wool programme with cold water on the machine), then wash them with hardly any soap, an extremly small amount, and then I rinse extra in the end. That makes the smell hardly ever come.

My friend uses natron in the pre-wash of the dipes, tiny bit of soap in the normal wash, and vinegar (7%) in the post-wash, and then extra rinse, that's her stripping method.
