My mom orders from Azure for her bulk things--she orders just once or twice a year and gets a ton. She's in WA so the shipping comes out a little different (she co-ops with a bunch of friends to make an order big enough to fill the truck and they get free delivery or something like that) but still, ordering in bulk really can pay off...if you can afford $600 at a go!! (Which I totally can't right now!!)
So here's a thought on an unrelated topic...
We have more or less settled on a first name for the coming baby, but we are having trouble agreeing on anything for middle names. The two I like best DH absolutely hates, and the one he likes best is a name I like fine except I don't really like how it fits with the first name we've chosen...plus the initials would be BOB and I'm just not lovin that either
He's starting his 5th year of teaching and he commented that it's probably just going to get worse, because the longer he teaches the more kids he'll meet and the more baggage will get attached to more names, you know? Anyway, we've never had this happen before...both other kids were pretty easy to name. Part of me wants to be pushy--DS1's name was entirely of DH's choosing (I was fine with it even though I don't really like the middle name because he's named directly after an ancestor). I kinda came up with DS2's name I think, but we both really liked it so I don't see it as being one or the other of us 'picking' it per se, you know? The middle name I love most for this kiddo is a family name--it was my g-grandfather but it's also the masculine form of my mother's name (and I don't like her name enough to give it directly to a child--even assuming we do have a girl at some point
) Anyway, I like the name and what it means and on and on, but it's old fashioned and DH doesn't like some of the old nicknames that go with it...um, it's a middle name, I don't think nicknames are going to come up, you know?!
ANYWAY, I guess I just needed to rant about that for a minute.
On a happy note, we had rhubarb crunch for breakfast today, made with fresh rhubarb that I got from the farmer's market this weekend (with WIC coupons no less...oh Alaska is a great state!) My 2yo polished off a big bowl of it (he's got to be going through a growth spurt
) and then he said "mommy, what's dis called?" I told him and he said "mmm, I like da cwunch!"
