Sticking things in there

Please reassure me that he won't actually do anything that hurts. Just a couple of days ago he tried to stick the USB plug from his mouse inside his foreskin. Today he stuck his toy sheep down his underwear.

I'm a bit torn between not wanting to make him feel there is something wrong about exploring his body and fear he will hurt himself.

My boy isn't old enough for penis antics yet...but I've read plenty of threads about the things that they try to put in there! Funny stuff.

I doubt they will do any real harm. If it hurts, I suspect he'll stop.

Well, I can't promise anything. My DS has hurt himself on occasion. I think the worst incident is when he closed a DVD case on it.

I've heard a few stories of boys hiding stuff in their foreskin. I think it is a normal phase for them. I wouldn't worry about it.

Maybe you could talk to him about only touching that area with his hands not toys or other objects because they could hurt him. He won't feel bad about checking out his "equipment" but he will know it is not safe to put anything else down that way.

I keep a spare set of keys there.

Really, I think he'll be fine. I'd avoid the potentially sharp objects but otherwise I am sure he can take it if you can.
