We both agreed 100% that we could not afford private school, and that we didn't want to homeschool. The public schools the kids attend are the ones we're zoned for... to be fair, the middle school is the only one in the district.

We are both supporters of public education. We picked the house we bought because of the excellence of the school district. There was never any serious question about where our kids would go to school.

Single parent with no real input from the other parent.

I do the research and initial visits, and keep DH fully appraised of my findings. He tends to trust me 100 % on my choice but he is totally into the decision making process although more hands off. We have had one child in PS, one has been homeschooled and attended a private democratic/free school, who will now be going to an alternative public middle school and our youngest goes to a private elementary school.

Well other would fit best I guess.

It was never discussed because the public school nearest us was the one that it would be. We never even looked into other options because no way could we pay to send our kids to school when there is a free public school less than two tenths of a mile way. I did consider homeschooling and that would be my choice since it would be me doing it.
