i finally swept the laminate

You see my husky had to be euthanized last Monday morning. She used to shed a lot. Sweeping the laminate would remove the last physical traces of her. I've stopped looking for her to let her out to potty when I let my other dog Gretchen outside.

My special needs 6yo keeps asking what her name was. He misses her too in his own way.

Thanks for letting me share.

Sincerely,
Debra

I'm sorry for your loss, after we lost our Dkitty I opened the dresser drawer and found a clump of her hair (this always used to bug the crap out of me, her climbing into the dresser draw and leaving hair on all the clean clothes), I sat there crying for the longest time, over the fact that all we had left was the hair.

I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing the picture; she was a beautiful girl.

I went through that exact same thing on Thursday. I cried as I vacuumed all her hair. s

I waited over 2 weeks to vacuum after my one kitty passed and bawled the whole time I felt like I vacuumed her away like she was here before I did I felt the same when my pup passed! I think it is normal to feel that and to wait for a long while after my aunt waited about 3 weeks to do all the rooms (ohh and her and I are neat freaks too!) I am so sorry for your loss your pup was beautiful!!

I got misty eyed. I'm not typically one to get very emotional over an animal. I'm sorry for your loss.

for you and your kiddos as you grieve her.
I am so sorry for your loss, and for the extra grief a mama feels watching her children grieve.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I waited a long time to vacuum after we lost my kitty at the beginning of May, so I completely understand how it hurts your heart to be cleaning up the last trace of her.

RIP Nina

I used to close my eyes and shake his collar so I could hear him scratching

ahh hugs to you.

we euthenized our 17 year old springer last september. I kept his collar and it hangs around my rearview mirror in my car. I treasure those hairs that are stuck in that material! Every morning I grasp his tags before leaving for work.

when my ds was 2 he jumped from the sofa arm ONTO the sleeping springer and got bit (duh, surprise). He still has a little scar on his cheek and looking at that scar actually gives me a quick memory of him too... my son has even told me that he likes having the scar because now he know's he'll not ever forget our old friend.

They leave such special places in our hearts...

I'm so sorry about your dog. I know exactly how you feel. When we had to put down our 3 YO dog a couple of years ago, it took me a while to want to sweep up too. But you know what I did that really helped? I took a little notebook and started writing down fun memories of him. It really helped me with my grief and now when I look back on what I wrote I smile and think "oh yeah, I forgot about how he loved to...."

I put my Pups ID tag on my mirror also I touch it everyday and smile I used an old neckless so it hangs low!

How are you feeling Mama the loss of a pet is so strong they love us different than people and we bond even stronger as we bond with our hearts at a faster pace be strong mama she is still watching over you!
