I have to ask. Brystol? As in Sarah's Brystol? I guess I had never heard the name Brystol until Sarah Palin came on the scene, but maybe I am out of it. I haven't had to name a baby for several years now.

Our Brystol shares a name with Sarah's Bristol, but she's certainly not a namesake. We actually liked the name before the Palins (saw it in some baby books, etc.) , but debated abandoning it because of the media focus on Bristol before/during my pregnancy. A friend then told me everybody has somebody else's name and to just go with it if we loved it -- which we do.

Makes perfect sense to me--and good for you for picking a name you loved and sticking with it.

I had a feeling that was it--and not that Sarah Palin was your idol or something like that--but curiosity got the better of me!
