: Welcome to the NEW Thread Ladies!!!! :

Most of us are former TTC 6+ Month ladies. And at this point, many of us are at or past 12 months, many have had losses, many are dealing with various forms of infertility, and some are just in a waiting period until they can TTC again.

The name? Well... we tend to be a little bitter sometimes. So read with care . And due to everything, our emotions run a little raw . This TTC business is something that seems to "just happen" for so many... but we just can't get "it" right. So this is where we can "be together", share and express anything.

Hi Ladies,

I finally made the new Thread. Sorry, I ran out of time at work on Friday.

Today is a busy day! DD's really good friend is coming over, but she's a little allergic to dogs, so we need to do a very, very good cleaning job before she gets here! Unfortunately, the dog hasn't been groomed in awhile, so the whole house is pretty hairy.

Tear - Continue to enjoy your trip!

Court - I'm sorry that last month was so awful. I hope that you can slow down and breathe... and that AF doesn't play any more mean tricks. But please... post here whenever... and don't feel worried that you shouldn't.

to everyone.

Can I join you ladies? Bitter and raw at times? You sound like just my bunch

I'm 25...working as an elder abuse investigator. DH is 26 and a bibliographer for a book distributor. We're TTC#1 since 12/08 with MFI (DH has poor morphology and a sperm count on the lower side.) Currently TTC with just Clomid but hoping to move onto either IUI or IVF this fall.

DH is having a rough time with his diagnosis... he knows no other guys with issues like his (all of our friends have no issues with TTC.) Any gals who have the same thing going on.... suggestions for books and ways to support him through this?

: a new thread!!! Thanks lisko

I am hoping that my temps stay level . Thet are still a bit higher than I usually was pre o . My HcG levels are still there. The line is faint but there. I keep testing, I know I shouldn't, it makes me feel bad every time.

I have had 2 psychics give me the dates October/November for either the conception date, the due date, or when I find out I am pregnant. It is weird that 2 said the same thing. I hope I find out then : I know it sounds crazy to see a psychic, but I just HAD to and we will soon see if that is correct.

I can't wait to hear from everyone else. Oh yeah, no sushi for me this week, we are saving up for our honeymoon which will take place this Saturday. I was hoping for a honeymoon baby, but if the psychics are right it will be a couple of months.

updated and added... Welcome Jelinifer!

I did color code us on the first page -

Green, unknown reason why not getting PG.

Purple, Loss(es)

Blue, MFI

and Red, Waiting to TTC

Let me know if anyone would like a different color. Since some of you could have "two" colors, really.

Oh and Ill tell you ladies first (cuz I know Lauren31 still pops in here now and then)

There is a slight chance DF will NOT be moved to an Iraq deployment. : I am REALLY hoping that is the case because I do not know how I could ever handle that after what he went through the last time he was in Iraq... I just don't think I could be strong enough to support him the way he needs.

Oh Mae, I've got my FX for you :

Hey sushi ladies! Thanks Lisko and Beloved for your recent comments to me I'm gonna try and calm down a bit - like in the old days of ttc.

Jelinifer - welcome! nice to meet you - we've got male factor here too. Count on the lower side, but not horrific ( usually 30-40 million), motility is our main problem I think. We're on L-carnitine and anti-oxidants. Dh's urologist seems to think there is a chance we could succeed naturally. We will definitely go the IVF route (already done a few IUI's) in the future (just have to figure out which relative or bank will pay for it, lol). So, I guess we're just gonna try for at least 2 years total, so we know for sure we gave it all we got. It sucks though. I think my dh is doing pretty well with it all. We haven't read any books. The only thing that has seemed to help him mentally is reading about all the countless other men with MFI online. There's this one comment that I read that stands out - it was so funny (in a sad way). I don't know if it was on here, or on another fertility board. I'll paraphrase...
This woman was telling the story about her husband getting a SA done.. "They came back and told us we had 3. Not 3 million, not 3 thousand... THREE!" So everytime we get to talking about all this, dh always says, "At least I have more than three!"

Mae - I'll keep my fingers crossed for your hubby. Will he be done with active duty after this tour, or does he plan on having a long career in the military?

Beloved - Oh honey, I hate for you to keep seeing those lines... I hope you have an amazing honeymoon!

Lisko - Hope you're dd's playdate goes well - I've got the dog hair situation here too. I was giving my boys buzz cuts yesterday and very very tempted to do it to the dogs....

Tear - I hope you had (or are still having) a wonderful trip!

I'll have to tell him that- I know that story will bring a smile to his face! This S/A's results showed 61.3 mil count (decent) but only 3% normal morph. according to the Tygerberg/Kruger scale.... Wierd thing is I think they graded motility by WHO standards because he got a 58% on motility despite the fact that most of the swimmers also had coiled tails (note included in the results.) Those were the results he got after 3 months of accupuncture/vitmins &supplements.... not a drop of caffeine or alcohol for 3 months and all organic/TCM diet and TCM herbs from our acupuncturist. I'm cringing thinking how bad his results would have been without all the TLC we're giving his swimmers

MP: That is some good news! I can only imagine what you military gals go through with your guys a half a world away. I'll be keeping you guys in my thoughts and hoping for a good outcome to your dp's deployment

Ladies, there's so much to respond to and I can't do it justice now. I'm sitting here with Carlyle (my sis) and we're bonding over Mothering and DH is sitting across from us rolling his eyes. I promise to respond personally in a couple days when we get home. I'm so excited about our new thread (thank you, lisko!!!), and thrilled to see a couple of my "loss" empathizers joining us, as well as jelinifer. I'll add more later. My sister is telling my DH how to check how many posts per day average I make. I better log off. :

I'd like to join, please. I never feel like I really fit in on any of the infertility threads, mostly because I'm not pursuing more aggressive treatment (which is due to my lack of health insurance). I don't really feel comfortable on the loss threads either, because I'm more focused on a future pregnancy than the one that didn't work out but still know how very sad and sensitive I can be. And most of the trying to conceive threads end up getting to me due to the sheer number of posters who are able to breeze in and then leave a few weeks to few months later for the pregnancy boards. I don't begrudge them. I just want for it to be my turn too.

So hi. My husband and I have been trying to conceive our first child since January 2008 with one loss at 9 weeks in April 2008. I have PCOS and am on metformin right now. I'm doing my best to be supportive of all the pregnant women in my life, but it gets hard sometimes.

starkyld, I think how you are feeling is natural Welcome to the Bitter Sushi Ladies thread

I got a near BFN last night, BUT i had just downed a huge thing of water, and there WAS a faint line ( Line, line go away...come again some other day (when you actually mean something )

My tamps were down still I feel like I am slowly getting back to normal.

DH and I BD last night and I wasn't supposed to until Friday I feel so stupid. Nothing was *ahem* deposited in there though, we were worried about that I hope it is OK, no more of that until our honeymoon (Saturday)

I am so excited about our trip that I can hardly stand it :

Hi Ladies...

I've added both of you, enigo and starkyld. Welcome to our bitter sushi thread.

starkyld - One of the many reasons we created this thread (or really sought refuge in our TTC 6+ month thread) was because of the ladies popping in and out with BFPs in 1 or 2 months. It really gets hard to see them so often and not get bitter and jealous. Its better to have a thread to "hide" in and have lots of ladies going through similar stuff. So welcome!

enigo - I'm sure when DS came so quickly, and baby #2 is slow in coming, that causes some confusion and sadness. In my case DD took 11 months (though with my XH)... so I wasn't entirely surprised when I didn't get PG on month 1, 2 or 10... though I really did hope to be PG by now.

BelovedK - I hope your honeymoon is nice and relaxing!

Tear78 - You are welcome for the thread! I may slack off now and then keeping up, especially on the weekends. But it will be nice to have a little "bitter shelter" for all of us ol 'timers.

Carlyle - I didn't know Tear's vacation included her sister! How nice for both of you... You never seem too bitter, so you probably don't need to join!

MaerynPearl - I hope everything works out for the best for all of you where DF is concerned!

Court - Don't worry about getting all crazy last cycle. DH & I have really agreed on just going with the flow and seeing what happens. However, I had to explain to him that I'm totally fine with that TTC-style when AF doesn't play mean tricks on me. But when she comes 4-7 days LATE it is bound to create some anxiety and excitement.

DD's playdate has gone okay. It was a sleepover so I still have her friend this morning. DD has some "friend etiquette" issues... and if she doesn't figure them out before she turns 12 or 13 she is going to be the worst friend ever. I can really worry about it if I let myself... but I just hope she learns as she grows up.

AFM - I figured since there are some new ladies around I'll give a little history about me. I'm 33 and remarried to a wonderful & amazing man since July 2007. I have a DD who is 6 (going into 1st grade) from my previous marriage, he has a DS who is 11 (going into 6th grade) from his previous marriage. We started trying to TTC in August 2008. Still not PG and its August 2009. It did take me 11 months to conceive my DD, though that was with a different partner, my XH. Lately I've been having more irregularity where AF is concerned, more feeling tired, and for about 7 days prior to AF's arrival I have really intense cramping in my pelvic area, inner thighs and even lower back. I'm scheduled for an ob/gyn appointment August 24th and I hope to get some answers about all those symptoms.... or be PG. I have visions of large cysts going on or something... but I really have no idea. I just don't know why there could be so much cramping, its NEW and very uncomfortable.

So that's about it for today!

Count me as an "official lurker" until Tear gets pregs for keeps. I "get it" to a degree, since dd took 8 months to conceive, and I've had one miscarriage too. But right now, I'm not "needing" a second baby enough to feel bitter that it's taking a long time to conceive (yet). Hopefully we'll be blessed before I reach that point again
