What is going on with my cycle?

Has anyone else dealt with this? I'm no longer bfing (been 7 months now ... and my DD is almost 2.5yr) and my cycles seem to have returned to a typical pattern for me which is 33 days long (they used to be really irregular but 33-34 days is my typical pattern). Last cycle was regular and I O'd right on cd 20 and I started spotting at 11dpo through 13dpo and then "AF" started the next day but was still light and cd2 was normal and cd3 & 4 were light and then it was done. This was a much shorter period for me but I'm so positive that I O'd on cd20 and it matches up to when AF started, too.

So now I'm waiting and waiting to O again and I'm already on CD21 and just don't feel like I have O'd or will. It is so weird because starting around cd10 of this cycle I started feeling very very moody, tired, crampy, bloated, indigestion and my cm has flucuated from patches of creamy to ewcm but nothing dramatic or for several days in a row (like normal) ... so for about 2 weeks now I've been having dizziness (vertigo), terrible moodiness (like pms) and been so tired -- like I could just lay down all day and sleep (which isn't like me normally). Has anyone else experienced this? Should I see my dr.? I just don't know what they can do for me -- maybe my hormones are all out of whack. :

Here is my chart -- I'm not temping but I'm just recording symptoms and cm. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/10b05

you are either pg or maybe did not really o, although that may be unlikely. have you tested for pg yet?

I tested before I got af and it was BFN ... there was a super faint line that I thought was an evap. Then when "AF" came I thought for sure it was BFN. Hmmm...now I might need to retest.

Have you ever temp'ed? Would you have an idea of what your high vs. low temps would look like? If so, maybe you could take a few temps and if they're low you have little to worry about.

Thyroid issues can sound a lot like what you're describing too. Have you had any illness going around? Especially when you typically would have O'ed? That could push O back as well.

Thanks for the reply. I've always had borderline thyroid issues. I wonder if that is what was going on. However, now I got AF again and it was the same as last time so maybe that is what my cycles will be, now...about 33-34 days and then 3 days of spotting and 3-4 days of AF. Hmmm...

Adamsmama,

After I weaned DS, my first 2 PP AF's were heavy and crampy--but every one of them after that were just like you described...barely any cramps and very light (which is WEIRD for me--before kids I had horrible AF's). I thought something may be wrong since thyroid issues ran in the family (we were also TTC too) so I went to the OBGYN to get checked out--all tests came back normal.

I just chalk it up to body changes after kids. I have heard countless times from women that their AF's changed after kids. Some have it worse, some much have what you and I experienced.

Have you ever thought about temping or checking your cervix? I found adding both of those helped ALOT when trying to figure it all out. When I wasnt sure about something, I would just check my cervix and see what that was doing--plus temping helps you pinpoint if ovulation did indeed occur. If I had not temped or checked my cervix, charting would have been hell for me since my cycles are pretty irregular/unpredictable.

KUP!

I used to chart temps -- when we were ttc. The month before this one I didn't need to temp, really, because I figured out right on when I O'd (I had all the classic signs). This time I didn't have the same signs but I also had a really bad yeast infection for the week before I should have O'd -- that could have messed with my signs. I have to say, if this is my new AF after having my kids ... I'm loving it. It is so much lighter and non-crampy! I only had one day of very minor cramps. I took my temp a few times last month because I was confused about O ... and I definately O'd by cd20, I now think ... because my temp was high (high 98's and low 99's .... which for me can only mean I O'd, I'm pg, or I'm starting to get sick ... and I know those last 2 weren't right...)
