CDing on an old septic system

I CD part time (DS is in a sposies only daycare) and have been talking to a friend about CDing. She's expecting her DC #2 in October and has expressed some limited interest in CDing but is worried because her house has an old septic system. She is worried it won't be able to handle the non-stop diaper laundry. Has anyone had any experience with this or thoughts on it?

We cd full time, and I wouldn't say that the diaper laundry is non-stop--at this point (7 months) it adds about 2-3 loads/week to our regular laundry schedule. Earlier it was every other day, but even with a newborn it wasn't more than that.

Some suggestions:

1. If there's a diaper service, consider that for the more intense newborn laundering.
2. Get enough diapers, covers, and wipes so that she can do wash less frequently. (so maybe 10 covers instead of 6)
