Beautiful quick birth that couldn't have gone any better! I was very surprised at how big he was since my first son was only 6lbs 14oz and 19 1/2" long. I was 41 weeks but the midwives assessed his gestational age right at 40 weeks, so my due date was just off. He is nursing and sleeping fantastically. We are all doing well and DS1 is falling in love with his new little brother.

His eyes are kind of a dark grey. I'm guessing they might end up brown.


My water was probably clean b/c I wasn't in there very long. I got in when I was transitioning and it was less than an hour before Mica was born. I got out really quick after he came. I didn't really start bleeding until I stood up to get out of the tub.
