I haven't checked my references so I could be wrong here, but I think it is the flumist (weakened live virus) sprayed up the nose that is not recommended for pregnant women. I think they've always said the other kind (injected) was safe for pregnant women. Of course we all know not to believe their lies!
I can't read the pdf files to check on this, computer gliche at the moment, so please do correct me if I'm wrong but I did want to comment on the fact that under "influenza- pandemic" category on that page, it lists H5N1 by sanofi - pasteur, apr 07. Isn't this a bit strange - I meant, we haven't had a pandemic of this type have we? (although we almost did back in Jan or Feb this year when Baxter contaminated flu vaccine with live H5N1 virus and sent it off to countries for people to be vaccinated against seasonal flu!)

The company that released contaminated flu virus material from a plant in Austria confirmed Friday that the experimental product contained live H5N1 avian flu viruses.

“But what remains unanswered are the circumstances surrounding the incident in the Baxter facility in Orth-Donau.”
The contaminated product, a mix of H3N2 seasonal flu viruses and unlabelled H5N1 viruses, was supplied to an Austrian research company. The Austrian firm, Avir Green Hills Biotechnology, then sent portions of it to sub-contractors in the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Germany.
The contamination incident, which is being investigated by the four European countries, came to light when the subcontractor in the Czech Republic inoculated ferrets with the product and they died. Ferrets shouldn’t die from exposure to human H3N2 flu viruses. |
The bolding above is mine. So let's see... they admit this was intended to be an "experimental" product??? Unbelievable. And they were experimenting for what reason?? The very fact they had that many "experimental" vials on hand is pretty scary. And the fact that they are NOT being held accountable for their "mistake" is even scarier.
