Pre-Baby Chapped Nipples?

My nipples are chapped and sore...and my baby's not even out yet! I haven't ever really dealt with this before...anyone have any suggestions? I try not to use Lanolin b/c its not vegan, but I've been using it anyway. It's not doing much. Other suggestions?

Soothies Pads! They are WONDERFUL! You can also use coconut or olive oil for now.

Are they really chapped, or just crusty with leaked colostrum? If I notice that my nipples are feeling kind of crusty, I take a long shower or bath to soak them first, then rub the crust off gently, and find that they're soft again for the next few days.

Earth Mama Angel Baby makes a vegan nipple cream. I've never used it, but I've used some of their other products and they're great.
