Today I received a letter saying that my phone number was picked at random to partake in an "important study conducted by the CDC called the National Immunization Survey." It goes on to say that it's very important, that I should really, really take part, and only just a few people will see my answers.
It's a form letter and I have no problem saying "no" when/if we get their call...but I have a nagging part of me wondering something. I recently called my insurance company to switch PCPs for DS from a pro-vax pedi to a holistic-minded MD.
Might the pro-vax pedi have submitted my name to someone to instigate this letter? I'm probably just being paranoid, but I wanted to ask. DS is 26 months, we stopped all vaxes at 6 months with a bout of heavy DTaP pressure at his 18 month appt due to a pinky injury, which healed fine. We've only seen the new doctor for a chicken pox diagnosis, 2 months ago.
I was just wondering if my phone number was truly "picked at random." Any experience? Thanks.
