Blueberries by weight vs volume??

So, I've *been* planning on going and picking a bunch of blueberries at a PIY place, for $2.20 a pound. Which sounds a bit high to me, but most folks' blueberries did really crappily this year (due to a late frost and then wierd cold weather since), so IDK. My mom just called and said that she can get them for $1 a pint... and I'm just wondering if thats a comparable/decent price or not? And so, whether I should bother hassling with the PIY or just go buy them by the pint (or, rather, have my mom buy me a bunch as she lives closer....

It kinda depends on the breed, but the large berries I have in the fridge just came out to ~12 oz/pint.

And we're paying $10/quart here, so I'd jump at $1/pint personally.

We just picked 43 pounds of blueberries for 1.50/pound. So $2.20 sounds awfully high to me.

On the other hand, this was up in the Columbia Gorge, i.e. blueberry paradise, and they were plentiful. You could fill a bucket just from one loaded bush.
