Anyone made a wool puddle pad?

The store bought ones are so outrageously priced...

I haven't knit one, but i did make several when my guys were babies from army surplus wool blankets that I got crazy cheap and then felted. If you've got an army surplus shop near you, defintily go check it out! I took them to the laundromat to felt because my machine wasn't big enough, so with the cost of the blanket and then the felting it was still WAY cheaper than buying one of the special puddle pads!

I made the double knit blanket in EZ's Knitter's Almanac and use that under the babe sometimes. It's never had to catch a full pee, though.

I second the thrift store wool blanket plan. Sometimes they're already felted. Lanolize in the bathtub, and voila.
