Favorite "brand" wool soakers/shorties/longies??

I'd like to try wool covers with our DD (only about 7lbs currently). What are some of your favorite brands(not sure if that's the right word but hopefully ykwim!) of wool soakers? I'd love some super cute girly ones!

Thanks!

P.S. It's easiest to use fitteds under wool soakers right??

I think the homemade ones are the best! I got some from www.llamajama.com that are adorable. I am also having one made from a lady on www.etsy.com She is doing a pink skull and crossbone soaker/shirt for me. I am so excited. I am also knitting one right now off of a free pattern I found on the internet.

I use prefold under my wool soakers too. I use a snappi to keep them in place. I also bought wool pants that I use in the winter at night.

I thought wool was so complicated, but it is awesome. After you lanolize, you only really have to wash them every couple weeks (unless they get poop on them or start to smell). Just hang them up to dry and they are good in a short time again.

we mostly use a snappied prefold or motherease one sized under our wool. Both do great.

Day time covers: loveybums
Night time: babyology or natural blue cloud
Cute wool pants: lucky penny pants

love, love, love wool covers! I really want to get some of these too.

Lovin wool here to!! Only needed 2-3 to start!

Have had great success with cute hand-knit ones on etsy.com
Also found beautiful wool wraps and baby pants at: www.tidbit-couture.com (was even able to order a custom size for our wee little one)!

I prefer having them hand knit from good yarn, Mosaic Moon being my favorite (and probably the most popular). Hyena Cart is good for finding the yarn and the knitter (Your Yarn My Kneedles slots).
As far as pre-made things go, we love interlock. Wild Child Woolies and Sustainablebabyish are what we use the most of.

I love soakers made from Marr Haven's wool. It's no certified organic but she doesn't use pestacides and it's a great price for a natural farm wool. The heathers are a bit thicker than the natural. I've only tried green, burgandy, lilac heather and then the natural (worsted weight)

I knit my own soakers and intend to sell on Etsy, I habe read that hand knitted soakers are generally more water resitant than machine knitted soakers due to the machine stripping the wool of it's lanolin.

Not all hand knitted soakers are equal though, depends on the yarn used, pattern (how it fits you baby and diaper) the size needles used and the experience of the knitter.

We love wool too

I also knit my needles, your yarn. But it's pricey to knit wool soakers as a buisness, as our products are tested onperformamce rather than the knitting, and this is achieved by the yarn chosen. Good yarn is pricey and Manu mamas don't realize this until they have to go out and purchase it themselves. I use wooden needles ( love the feel of natural wood I've metal anyday, and sing knitting is time consuming, wood makes it a pleasure, not a chore). But, wooden needles wear down and they can easily get broken, needles are expensive to replace.

Welcome to the world of wool, if you want to know more, feel fee to email me!

We love wool too. Fitteds are prefered for exclusivly breast fed babies, as the elasticated legs of the diaper help prevent the loose bf stoops leaking onto the soaker.
