I've gotten such a negative response on my son's name. Cyprus Que. Our neighbors actually asked if I was joking when they were told the name. I also got a "are you on drugs?".

I thought it was a little taboo to tell of your disapproval AFTER the baby was born.

Oy, I would have given them an earful! How dare they criticize something that has absolutely nothing to do with them or their taste! Right to your face! Jerks!!

I love the name... Cyprus is different, but not too out there and Que is very unique and I think they go very well together.

OMG! That is awful!!! I probably would have said something rude about their name if they did that! And yeah, it is rude to be negative about a mamas choice in names to begin with, but even worse when there is a cute baby to go with it For what it is worth, I love unique names, and think Cyprus is awesome!)
