Night use

Just wondering what everybody prefers to use at night?
Newborn stage?
Older?

I plan on using prefolds mostly during the day, but recently read a thread that made me second guess using a prefold and a cover at night. Maybe I should explore some other options?

We've been using prefolds with covers at night with no problems...until recently. My LO is 4 months, and now we're having problems with leaks at night if we just do a prefold and cover. Sometimes just folding in a doubler is enough, but sometimes not. I think we've been getting leaks with prefold+doubler+cover b/c the bulk of the doubler is affecting the fit around the legs. I just went out and bought a cover that's one size too big, and that worked great last night. I also recently got a Dancing Bears fleece soaker, and that seems to hold everything in well (with a prefold + doubler inside).

We used fuzzibunz during the newborn stage (they poop like 4 times a night and we were so tired... snaps were a blessing!) and when he started soaking out of those moved to premium prefolds with wool Aristocrats over the top. When he started soaking out of those, we added a doubler and recently bought Toddler sized prefolds to keep up.

I use BG AIOs for night. They are an AIO, but have a pocket so I can add an extra hemp doubler. We haven't had any leaks!

I only have prefolds, so no other option (besides, sometimes, disposables). Making sure all of the prefold is inside the cover is really important at night.

We use a motherease one size with a orange edge prefold folded in thirds inside and a hemp doubler. We use a wool soaker over the top, either babyology or natural blue cloud. This does great for my heavy wetting girl that sleeps for nearly 12 hours a night.

We were using BG stuffed with two doublers and that worked well for my heavy wetter for the longest time. My BG are now over 18 months old and have a lot of wear and tear- they started to leak most nights because the elastic and velcro are not great. I just added a fleece cover over everything last night for the first time and that kept DS dry all night.

I have always liked pockets & wool at night. I've had really good luck stuffing the pockets w/ prefolds up to about 18 months w/ my daughter & 14 months w/ my son. After that we needed a wool cover too.

I did try a lot of fitteds but I really didn't like how wet their skin got. I tried adding a fleece liner but nothing I tried kept their skin dry like the fleece used in the fuzzi bunz pockets we used.

In their last months of diapering I had to use a lanolized wool soaker or longies over the top of the fb's to keep the sheets & jammies dry.
