What are you wearing these days? - Page 2

This weekend I got 3 long t-shirts at old navy. Just $6 each and perfect for maternity! I got 1 pair of maternity (full panel) jeans and 1 of maternity dress slacks at Target, and some cute shorts at Motherhood. I love my maternity pants! So comfy. Also Ross has some cute maternity shirts!

I'm fully embracing the maternity clothes even though I don't entirely look pregnant.

I've just been wearing my normal clothes. I'm fluffy to start out with... and I'm tall. So I just don't GET a belly... at least not until the very end anyway. That said, I'm feeling thicker lately. Not anything that really messes with my clothing too much, just that I can't suck it in any more!

I have the most wonderful mother in the world, and on Monday we went out of town (to the nearest mall... three hours away ) and she got me quite a load of maternity stuff! Two pairs of jeans, a pair of black pants and at least four or more shirts! ... Jackpot city! ... but dangit... most are fall/winter things! There are about two shirts I could wear if it wasn't ROASTING here because they have this great rouching on the sides... but... it's not sweater weather yet... so I'm still scrambling.

Luckily, I had recently discovered that Old Navy and Gap have a "Tall" section on their websites and I had ordered quite a few tall shirts (yay!)... so they fit and I should be able to get by with them for a while still.

I just hate the in-between stuff!

Since about 5 weeks my pants were getting too tight around the midsection. I started with the elastic band through the buttonhole over the button and from there went to the bella band.

Starting at 9 weeks I had to stop off at Motherhood Maternity for some clothes. My old ones were just too uncomfortable (other than yoga pants). The Targets around me have REALLY limited selections for maternity (only two small racks!) so that was a no-go. I got two pairs of pants and some shirts from MM. I also ordered a bunch of tops and hoodies from Old Navy's website. I can easily get shirts online, but pants are a different story. I did order a pair of pants from there just to try, but they looked HIDEOUS on me. I greatly prefer the MM pants. In general they fit much, much better (actually, better than any pants I've ever tried on anywhere!)

I'm soooo much happier in maternity clothes at this point. Hopefully I don't gain much weight in places other than my boobs (already a full cup bigger) and belly. I don't want to have to get more clothes than I've already gotten. Fingers are crossed.

All of my warm weather maternity clothes are XL and look huge on me right now, so I had to go out and get some smaller stuff to wear until I get bigger.

I went shopping at Old Navy a few days ago and they had some great maternity clothes on clearance. I got 4 basic solid colored short sleeve shirts and 3 pairs of pants/capris (roll up buttons on the side). The shirts are a little long, but not overly "maternity" looking and are perfect for right now. Once I get a bigger belly they probably won't work anymore. The capris are super comfy and I can imagine myself wearing them even when not pregnant. Their regular clearance also had yoga pants and these other capri pants with a loose elastic waistband (perfect!). So, I recommend trying Old Navy - especially if they have a maternity section in your store.

I went to Kohl's today and found some very cute cargo type capris with elastic waists on the 80% off rack of the women's dept. I didn't even make it to their maternity section. I figure I'll save that for later!

Ahhhh, great thread. Just what's been on my mind lately as I wear and re-wear the same 3 skirts daily. I'm lucky I have the 3, and that they still fit really, since two are new and I took the tags off to wear them three days before discovering I was pregnant. My goal was to return them if I was pregnant. Um, I'm really trying to figure out what I'm going to wear this winter. Always had autumn babies in warmer climates in California. A February/March baby in the snow should be really interesting. I have a feeling I'm going to be some summertime hobo hiding out in our house all winter.

Yep, I have about 3 bottoms that fit... I've been trying to get to Goodwill every few weeks or so. There's usually a couple of things that work for me, stretchy pants, long shirts. I have a bunch of maternity clothes that don't fit yet, and they're mostly fall/winter stuff anyway. So, I'm just trying to get through the next month or so clothed

I'm still wearing my regular clothes and will probably be in them for a while yet. I started out fluffy, so not so much baby belly as flap going on. It's really hard to find maternity clothes in plus sizes here, so I just go one size up in regular clothes when my clothes get tight.
