I got my midwife a beautiful stone pendulum because she has been curious about dowsing (since I do it), and the stone has some great healing properties to it. My dd picked out the particular stone (she loves my midwife).

I love fertiltiy statues for midwives.

I like Etsy for everything and here is a specific search.

I will be getting mine some nicely framed photos of the birth as we are having a professional photographer there.

Oh, and a client of mine (I am also a doula) once got me a BIG spa package and a HUGE flower arrangement. That made me pretty darn happy, too

hmmm....I like what Coconut suggested. I also like the stuff on Etsy. We have no spa here so that is not an option. I am so glad you posted this because i had completely forgotten about this and I want to get the gift now so I don't have to worry after the birth! Maybe I will give her some of my maternity photos? Hmmmm....I will have to do more thinking on this.
