How long is thawed chicken good?

I took it out of the freezer yesterday and don't want to cook it today. Will it be okay if I throw a marinade on it tonight and cook it tomorrow?

Depends on how long it was out before it was frozen.

If you bought it frozen, it'll be fine tomorrow. If it sat in your fridge for 4 or 5 days before making it into the freezer, then probably not.

Depending on when you took it out yesterday and how big the package is, it might not even be completely thawed today. I think it would be fine for tomorrow. I just cut up the chicken I took out of the freezer on Sat afternoon and it was still ice-cold and no smell at all. It was bone-in chicken breasts, so it took a little longer to thaw than say, boneless thighs.

Thanks! I bought it frozen, so it should still be okay.
