Another loop in the circle of life.

Several days ago I posted about DH needing testing to find out the cause for abdominal pain. Well, last week Monday he had a CT scan and then this Monday he had an MRI.

Last night our doctor called him to let him know that he has an appointment with a surgical urologist tomorrow.

There is a lump in one of his kidneys that is measuring 6 cm x 5 cm. Luckily it is completely encased in just one of the kidneys but our doctor is concerned. In his words, it looks "suspicious and worrisome". He told DH that there is a possibility that the whole kidney will have to be removed and that it looks like the sooner the better.

Its so crazy to be living something like this. I keep wondering how it will work out with a new baby and a husband recovering from some sort of surgery and/or treatment. Wow. Scary wow.

Right now, I wouldn't mind living through this pregnancy for another few months so that we could get through one thing at a time.

Please keep DH in your prayers. Right now we don't know what we are in for.... tomorrow we will know.

How scary to have this going on right now. I'll be keeping your family in my thoughts and sending : for a fast recovery for your DH and a late term birth for you and the little one.

Do you have a local support network that can bring you meals, help with household stuff, and such? Do you have a wonderful grandparent that can come stay with you to help? Now is the time to call in help.

I asked around online and ended up meeting a wonderful doula that's agreed to attend my birth for free....maybe you could find something similar, if not free then at a reduced cost? Maybe try checking in the FYT forum? I wish you guys all the best.
