Yes I'll fess up to checking the TP for blood I'm only 37 weeks today but I can't help myself.

I'm looking for stuff to do to pass the time. I hate feeling like I'm waiting around. I'm reading Julia Child's autobiography and got a hair cut and pedicure today.. I just don't want to do anything, but at the same time I don't want to just sit here. It's the same feeling I used to have as a kid, at the end of summer before school started and the right time of year too.

: for those of you in pain

The moon did the trick! Adelaide Mary was born at 3:25am. Oh man, mamas- it was a bear of a labor. Oy. My DS was 8.8 and baby girl was 7.15, but she felt like a ten pounder. I would have been in trouble without the birth tub.

Anyway, she nurses like a champ and she's already peed on me.

Thanks for a fun and supportive DDC, gals. I look forward to reading everyone's stories.

congrats quickbeam! :

We had mexican for dinner... at the same place where I had dinner the night before labor with dd2. We'll see if mexican food + full moon does the trick.

congrats Quickbeam.

nothing much happening here. Cramps have started but that is about it. I am due Saturday but honestly don't expect a baby until sometime next week. I was hoping the full moon along with my accupuncture would move things along a little. But I doubt it.

I am still working but my head or my heart is no longer in it. I am feeling pretty lazy and having a hard time concentrating. I am thinking that if there is no baby before Monday I will start my leave. I had planned on working until b-day but my mom comes in Sunday night and it would be nice to spend some time with her.

First off, congratulations Quickeam!!!

as for me, I am 37w+2 today. I went to my prenatal on monday and everything still seems to be going well. I got the news that I am GBS negative which just made my day. I midwife noticed that I have dropped some (which I have) and she commented on how I still have ankles
This is my last week of work, thank God. I realized I was a little tired when I got home today, so, I took a little nap. Tomorrow will be a really long day from about 8am-830pm with a two hour break to go home and let my doggy out, which doesn't end up being much of a break. Mind you, I work on my feet (I do hair). As long as I get through tomorrow, then I think friday and saturday will be a breeze. I only work until 4 on friday and 2ish on saturday. Then we go to our last two hour Bradley class on saturday, and we are set!!
We have finished everything other than installing the car seat and buying our food and beverages for the birth center. I still can't wait to be off next week, so, I can really feel like I have the time to do any final things before the little bebe comes. I love how close it all is... but I am being patient so
I don't wish the time away. I know it will be here soon enough!!

To any other mamas that go into labor this week, Good Luck and I hope the rest of us keep it together as much as we can.

yup...

Not too much to report though.. I've been having bhx every 10-20 minutes for days. Some of them are decently strong, but they don't feel like they're doing anything to me. The baby is still high (which is normal for me), so it's hard for me to tell.

Tick, tock, tick, tock..

I'll be 40 weeks on Saturday, so maybe the full moon will get me tonight! Here's hoping...

Q: What's more fun than pregnancy insomnia?

A: Your 3 year old son insisting on spending it with you!

Yayyyyyyyyyy! :

He's sweet. He's adorable. Aaaaand he's awake eating veggie chips and watching the making of the Incredibles. Talk about Mommy guilt. But there's no waking this child up early in the morning to try and tweak the schedule back around, and there's no forcing him down when he's not tired. It just does not happen. He's refused to sleep like anything less than a teenage boy for about a week. Where's the bag over my head smilie? Can you believe it? I cannot believe this child. Please don't flame me. I'm not intending to parent this way. It's temporary....right?

So, any full moon babies? I know I felt strange last night....

Had my home visit last night! Finally, we have been putting off everything it seems. DH has his stupid, stupid test. We were already totally stressed out, then had to add ONE more thing. I have a shoot today and then on Saturday morning and then I am done, I just have a million photos to edit and a few other things to catch up on and then I can think about the baby. Yay! Sewing, cleaning, cooking, here I come! Last minute, but still, here I come!

We have been paying someone to come in and clean and it is making ALL the difference.

I am 2cm dialated, which means nothing except that I have a beautiful, working cervix that will open when my little girl is ready to come out.

The weather has shifted here and it is so cool out-I can not tell you what a difference it makes. I will NEVER get pregnant in time for a summer baby again. Period. I think I will have another late winter baby next time

Hope all you ladies are doing well today! Some of us may have just hours left with these little babes inside and some may have 5 weeks still!

Quickbeam - congratulations!

babykaoss - It is o.k. you are human and at the end of your pregnancy. What you do in the last couple of months is not a reflection on the last few years of his life and your parenting!

So...I will be 37 weeks on Saturday so, technically, the baby could come anytime now. BUT, I don't feel anywhere near miserable enough as some of you have also said. So, I think it will be at LEAST 3 more weeks. I am getting grumpier though and feeling an increased urge to finally finish some things up. I am having a b-day party for DD2 Sat. so that will keep me busy and my SIL just moved into town. THere just isn't enough time to do everything!!!!

Strangely enough, the BH have completely stopped happening (weird) and I could have sworn that last time I was having them almost constantly at this point. He finally rotated but is still high (normal for me, they NEVER drop until I literally have to start pushing so that they will move down onto my cervix, I never have any actual urge to push during labor) So, my house is a mess and we are making progress on finally finishing some of reno work...

You are so not alone. I have been having insomnia as well but when i try to sneak out of my bedroom and downstairs to watch tv or play on the computer DS wakes up. Seriously, he is the lightest sleeper i have ever encountered. I still try to get him to go to bed but often we lay around and talk for a while. Still more fun talking to him than starring at the ceiling in my room.

Such a good attitude. I'm about a 2, too, trying to keep my head in that same space.....
