The Calm before the Storm

today i feel pretty bloody chipper, actaully really good, for a change. i have all day, i have actually cooked food, something i havent been able to do since decmber, i have actually WANTED to do hosuework, and have been sorting stuff out for my HB box, sheets and towles and stuff.

i had my 38week check up today showed my MW my birht plan and she was totaly fine with it, she said that its mostly what the do normaly anyway and that the only ? she has is about physiological 3rd stage as i have a history of PPH and that we will take that as a wait and see and that she perfers to deliver the placenta out of the pool and i said that i am happy to do that, i actually said i would perfer to get out the pool once cord has stopped or within 1o mins or so as i would perfer to deliver placenta on dry land as i feel that the most risky time for PPH is when the placenta detatches, and on dry land it will be easier for her to deal with it and for me to go loo, squat, use gravity to help it out, nurse Evie to help if baby is showing no desire to nurse etc.

since i feel so good today im wondering if this is the calm before the storm. i have ahd on and off well not contractions as they havent hurt me, dont seem to be doing anything but have made me take notice and think things may slowly slowly be starting, could take weeks, could be tomorrow kind of thing. im pretty chilled about it, im not worried at all about prodromal labour, just gonna take it one hours at a time untill its obvious its the real thing.

im pretty much ready, just waiting on Entenox delivery, my sister coming up next week, dads holidays start next week,

well enought rambling from me, off to wash some dishes and then do some knitting.

I never thought about this, but it kind of is the calm before the storm here too. I'm doing a lot of what you mentioned.
I'm glad you had a great appointment with your midwife. Its nice when they can actually think you're normal for your choices instead of a crazy person making their life miserable!

Sounds familiar! I've had more energy in the last two days than I've had for weeks or months. Actually doing things. Also having contractions fairly regularly, but not sure if we're close to the real thing or not.

Today was my last day of work. I probably might have worked more in a different profession, but it's hard to schedule patients and then always have to worry about calling to cancel if i can't make it. So that's a relief in some respects. Now I can nest some more!

Might make some breakfast burritos to freeze if I get to it tonight and I know my dh wants a haircut. There's always more to do, isn't there???
