The baby is looking a little rough. don't get me wrong she is beautiful. But her skin is all peely and her bum looks like a war zone. She is starting to get some baby acne and her eyes are soooo gooky.

I am using California baby sensitive lotion but it is doing NOTHING for her. HMPH.

Her cord stump is gooey and seperating. Being a week old is ROUGH.

i've always used olive oil or coconut oil on their skin, works a treat and for everything this else - breastmilk. sure she will be back to her perfect self in a few days.

I am freaking out because it seems like he sleeps too good lol. I am so used to DS1 that woke up every hour.

But yes we have started the skin peely thing just today.

Oh and he did this impressive breatmilk poo squirt from the chair to the couch today.

I am loving every minute though.

warm wash cloth on the eyes in the morning to get rid of the guck, coconut or olive oil on the skin, not lotion, and breastmilk on the bum and in the eye too if eye goop is green.

good luck!

Eye goop is green. Been putting BM on it. Left seems swollen. I have to call and make an appt with her ped tomorrow.

The rash, I am trying BM on, but it's getting redder and almost breaking skin in a few spots. Not sure what is going on there.

Need to get Olive oil. I will send my mom out later for me.

Same here with my boy. My dd has loads of allergies, so I am kind of freaking out. Time to do some testing...
I would be interested in hearing what you do to heal it.

And he is totally peeling all over and on his feet and belly are the worst. The belly button looked almost healed, but a wet cloth diaper rubber against it too long, and it got all goopy and now it looks gross.

I was worried like something was wrong because my baby sleeps so well. I too was used to my dd that woke up all the time. I guess I deserve a break of 2 years of my dd doing that. I finally have 2 good sleepers!:

Oh yes, the bmilk squirts. Do you know how many times I have been poohed on? Am I supposed to get mad or something? It really just cracks me up.

yup olive oil on the skin, ( I thought coconut oil is drying to the skin? at least it is in home made soap if you use to much) as for eyes breast milk and warm wash cloths and for bum we have had luck with burts bees diaper cream I have never used it before but my Dad bought it when I sent him to the store for Burts Bees body wash ( go figure) and it cleared rash right up and my babies always get bad rashes- dang sensitive skin

My DD had some serious acne. And a terrible diaper rash at first.

I was just talking the other day about how at least now I'm prepared for this one to be the same!
