Full moon

Isn't tonight a full moon? Just wondering if it will swing anyone into labor!
What do you guys think? Feelin anything?

Hmm.. I'm not feeling anything yet. I'm due on the 8th, so it's as close as possible really..

Yes, tonight is the full moon and as much as some people were hoping for a full moon babe over here, I think my original guess date is probably more likely unless something kicks in quite suddenly and he comes tomorrow.

Here is hoping it helps others though!

I've been having some prodromal labor every night for the past 3 or 4 days. But tonight my contractions are a lot more convincing... which I am thanking the full moon for. They could just peter out in a couple hours like previously though.

Are you guys sure tonight's the full moon? I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be on the 6th, which is tomorrow....

I thought I might go on the full moon, but for some reason I can't get 41 weeks out of my head now. That means two more weeks or so for me...we'll see what happens though.

The new moon is on the 20th, that would be 2 weeks from now!

Take care!!

Been having contractions since yesterday but they really picked up this afternoon. 5 minutes apart, 1 minute in length, getting closer together now I think though....getting more intense. Backup midwife on her way. Called husband home from work. Not SURE this is it, since they are still pretty mild/moderate but something is going on. I have loose stools too.

Thankfully, my birth pool arrived an hour ago!

I swear if this ends up being padromal labor and I get stuck like this for a month I will have to poke myself with a sharp stick.

Funny but ITA - starting to get 41 stuck in my head despite lots of convincing prodromal labor over the last few nights. No major Contx tonight, nothing really except my tailbone is all locked up... and she seems to be able to bulge out, or push down on my perinium which is pretty convincing things are going well

Does anyone else get good contrax after bananas or coconut water... seems sometimes like my muscles are looking for a boost sometimes. (at least that last banana/contax combo just now was pretty strong just now!)

add: I'm "due" the 10th, had the big what if I go over talk today with MD

I think technically it's after midnight tonight which is technically tomorrow.. or something like that. Either way! Full moon tonight or tomorrow night. Hopefully somebody reaps the benefits!

OMG Lindsay that's so exciting!!!! That would be so exciting since you were convinced of having to wait!

Well, the midwife came and I am definitely having contractions but not dilating. I'm just about 1cm dilated and not very effaced, maybe 50%.

I think it depends on your time zone. Here on the US west coast it was at 5:56 pm

I was looking for a mooning smiley, but I guess we don't have one

I hope to read up on some new baby news tomorrow!

But anything can happen! I am so excited for you to have your baby and feel comfortable again (and blissed out with your baby)... It's exciting that something is happening, at least.

Anyone remember Henny Penny from the UC forum? she had padromal labor for something like six weeks. I PHEAR that. Seriously.

I remember, TF. I remember.

And since I'm doing the prodromal crap already, a whole week of it, and three more to go till my due date....well, let's say I'm trying NOT to remember it.

Time is passing slowwwwwwwwwwwwww lately.

I hope it will do something for me! My midwife told me it's usually more busy with births when it's a full moon, we'll see.
