A year!

My son just turned one and is still nursing happily half-a-dozen times a day despite all the challenges – rushing to the ER for extreme weight loss, a long stretch of refusing to nurse and wooing back to the breast, pumping after every feed for months, taking domperidone and any herb I hoped would help, being forced to use formula and having to learn to use my "third breast" – a Lact-Aid.
I never thought I'd make it this far – at the beginning I was just in despair that I couldn't EBF my son. Now I'm so grateful to have this wonderful nursing relationship with my sweet boy.
Just wanted to share.

Congratulations - what amazing perseverance! I know for me, all the challenges have made it so much easier to really appreciate our breastfeeding relationship

So true. Most of my friends IRL are weaning at a year but I'm really happy as we are and want to follow this journey until my little guy wants to wean.
