don't know if the this is the spot or not to do this, but wanted to say hello to all!
I am new to this area of mothering, but not new to MDC.- also not new to gardening! thought I would just intro my self- since new to this area......
I try to get on here as much as I can, but sometimes have had weeks go by and never get time to be on computer!
I am a mother of 5 (6-
) grown children -4 married, and 2 with children themselves, youngest daughter still unmarried, in college full time.-(others-some are also in college). 5 grand babies!!!
we farm for ourselves, raising our own beef, chickens, turkeys, sheep and goats-have a large garden, and some fruit trees (still young trees).
In my 'spare' time, I am a midwife.
I have been gardening for over 45 years (I am older than that!) (boy does that sound old!!!)
we first gardened years ago when I was a little girl, because we were so poor and could not afford those stores canned goods that the rich families in the community could buy, but those skills were soo handy raising my kids!
