Placenta Smoothie Recipies

Have too ask... not just morbidly curious... but also had PPD and I might consider this if I had an idea how to do it. It would be really fun if this question turn up a nice list of recipie choices.

We're doing a really simple berry based one: soy or coconut yogurt, strawberries (and any other berry we happen to have in the fridge... currently we've got blueberries), a banana and coconut water if it needs to be thinned.

We're keeping it simple...bananas, strawberries (for the color...hides the placenta), and possibly yogurt.

That is, if someone will make it for me. We'll see.

Do you guys think the thickness of the yogurt could add to the grossness or cover it?

Mine is

handful frozen strawberries
6-10 frozen blueberries
half a cup of blueberry Keifer or vanilla yogurt
a little rice milk or half & half to thin it out if its too thick

I then blend it and taste it to make sure its sweet enough, I'll add honey if I need it to be sweeter. Then I add a chunk of placenta the size of a quarter and blend it really really well.

I feel that the frozen strawberries do the best job at masking the flavor of the placenta. I've had 14 smoothies over the last four days and haven't tasted placenta once. Also, don't make the smoothies too big, you really only need about a half a cup of 'liquid' yogurt or rice milk or milk or whatever. Drink it quickly.

Every time I drink one, I just think that I'm doing something awesome for my body, and my children too. Because if I don't get PPD this time around, I'm going to be a great mama, and not miss out on my babies because I'm feeling blue.
