Favorite Board Books?

I remember one of my dd's favorites was "Goodnight Gorilla". I made up a story for it since it didn't have many words and she loved it.

Also, the Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Anyone have more to recommend? I can't remember many and we need to buy for the baby. Didn't keep many of DD's things, unfortunately.

Our son likes Boots board books (about a cat), this one book titled "Who Do You Love?" (has cats in it as well), and just about anything with animals. Also books showing people (especially babies) doing stuff. We're really into getting him "vintage" type board books. Lots of 80's, sometimes early 90's stuff.

We used to enjoy Barbara Reid's "Zoe" board books - Zoe's Sunny Day, Zoe's Rainy Day... The art is amazing. The original books had no text, just pictures, so we made up our own stories. I was a little sad when I saw a recent re-issue with text.

Other favourites:
Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown.
Pat the Bunny
The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats
