Relig exemp in OR?

Hi there,

I currently live in a state with a philosophical exemption for school and therefore have no problems with sending my kiddos with however we choose to vax/not vax. We have the opportunity to move to Oregon... the most crunchy state with NO philosophical exemption!! I read the wording on the law and although our religion is not against vaxing, our "ethical beliefs" are. I don't want to decide to get there and be told my kids can't go to school using a religious exemption. My question is for the mamas who live in Oregon or know about it- is it easy to obtain a religious exemption there, or will I be questioned, hounded, etc? I have heard horror stories about New York and such with religious exemptions. HELP!

Hi and welcome to the forum. You could also post your question in the tribal section.

A religious exemption generally means a personal religion and you don't have to explain your faith to anyone.
