Whoa, that sounds so difficult, Kiz! I'm sorry!

I hope this is one of those cases in which things work themselves out. Or maybe someone else (your husband? your mom? a friend?) could help come up with an alternative solution so you don't have to handle it while you're coping with early labor. I'm sending you good vibes for a least stressful outcome. :

i have a feeling mum may ready sis the riot act, but it wont change anything really.

gonna have to sleep on it and see what i can come up with tomorrow. im not bothered about having a second person for me, i know i can do it just me and hubby, its the kids that i am worried about.

You can ALWAYS find a doula in training that will do it for free. Can you put the word out to your mom community?

hmm i could go post on my UK board too. and ring doula UK tomorrow about their hardship fund, i would be more than willing to make a donation once funds got better if they said yes to helping me out.

my worry is its too late, im 39 weeks on Tuesday, they dont know my kids, etc <im a worry wart>

the simplest thing we can think of at the mo is have the 4yr old go with my dad and the younger two if i labour during the day. if its at night its not a big deal as they will more than likely sleep throught it.

off to post on UK board

That sounds so tough, especially when you could have the baby any day. I hope it works out for you. I guess you need someone if you are having a hospital birth, but with a homebirth, you could just have your baby at night while kiddos are asleep. That is what happened with this last birth. 2 yr old dd slept through the whole thing.

Yeah I would be totally uncomfortable with my dad there. Not the kind of relationship I would want to establish. Maybe he could take them out for the day so he wasn't around?
