carrier for young infant that is like a Boppy attached to you

I hope I can describe this well enough. Does anyone know of something like this? I had someone recently ask me if I knew of a carrier that she described as looking like a Boppy pillow attached to the front of you, with straps, and then baby kind of laid on it and could nurse. But it was attached to you so that you could walk around. Like a baby shelf I guess! For a newborn/very young infant.

Thanks in advance for any leads on this mystery!

Let me guess--she's been watching TLC?

The My Brest Friend is a nursing pillow which can strap around your torso. I do not think it's meant to be a mobile nursing aid, though a certain reality tv mom uses hers that way.

BINGO! Thank you! That is so funny, yes! I didn't dare say that, but yes, that is exactly what she said! As she was describing it, I thought it sounded a lot like the My Breast Friend pillow, but I didn't think that was a mobile thing, as you said! Okey doke! Good to know.

Too funny - I see this show all the time & find it funny how she uses it. But, heck, it's working for her. (btw - on the same program they also regularly use an ergo).

Wouldn't that be dangerous for the baby? I don't know which show it is, so I haven't seen it "in use," though. I'd probably emphasize that to your friend.

How do you think it would be dangerous?

Sorry to crash the thread, I was just reading and thinking it could be dangerous if mama doesn't hold on to baby--I don't think it attaches securely enough to really support an infant independent of mama's holding him/her. JMO.

I totally used mine that way - I never let go of the baby, though. Straps would have been really, really nice.

Brest friend! I have a Boppy and have heard great things about the BF though!

As for the show, I think it's totally cool she's very open about nursing in public. No other comments on parenting, etc but I'm happy to see nursing on TV. And she doesn't act inconvienced, etc either.

That's what I was envisioning - but like I said, I've never seen the show and don't know how she does it.

She always appears to be holding the baby as well.
