The Mother Hips are one of my favorite bands. They always cheer me up.

I've been listening to They Might Be Giants a lot lately. My 4 yo DS is obsessed with them and won't let me play anything else in the car!

All we listen to at my house is the Jonas Brothers. I occasionally get to listen to Flogging Molly or Reverend Peyton's Big Damn band :

The Incredible String Band (especially the 5000 Spirits or Layers of the Onion)
(old favourite). Definitely my feel-good go-to music.

and my new discovery is this album, http://www.amazon.com/African-Trouba.../dp/B000S5ALGU (I bought it on itunes)

I also love the Joan Baez album of Bob Dylan covers, Any Day Now. Another oldie but goodie.
