Im still prego!!!

lol after three days of inductions i stopped dialating at 4 cm and 70% effaced, my high risk doctor had told the doctors watching over me that i was NOT TO LEAVE UNTILL I DELIVERED THAT BABY! but my bp was great like 100/50 and i had no protein in my urine, my platelets were 100 thousand i had no swelling etc. so when the third day rolled around and they were telling me they wanted to break my water because i wasnt making progresss it sounded like a c-section sentense "being someone who knows my facts and is aware that there is no actual proof that that is at all effective, especially when your only 3cm, and it puts an hour glass on your progress often resulting in a c-section) so i just broke down, it had been a long three days of medicians first over stimulating and causing too many contractions and then not making progress after strong, what seemed to be promising contractions. i said no the doctor was very upset and started going on about how i could do that or leave after signing a form saying i refused medical advise etc. i stood firm and insisted there must be another way, even just giving my body a few days to relax and do its stuff on its own, the doctor left the room to go tend to a c-section and left me with the options she had given me before...i was so upset i was sobbing, my mom was with me trying to confort me and tell me even if i had to get a c-section it wouldnt be so bad...3 minutes later the doctor came back in and told me she had spoken to the cheif and they had decieded based on my test results that they would be comfortable with letting me go home for a couple of days and rest and let things take a natural course : so i have to check in tommorrow and monday, but im at home talking to my lil girl telling her we need to work together and get her out of there soon so we can do it on our own ^_^

lol send me some effective labor vibes! lol when my mom called for me today to make my app to see the doc on monday the nurse said, shes already at 4 cm she wont need an app for mon tell her to go walk around the block! lol THANK YOU NURSE! we'll see, crossing fingers!

Wow, I'm glad you listened to your instincts and stood up for yourself. I'm also shocked that they were ok with letting you go home. Good for you for not having your water broken, you are one smart mama! Sending labor vibes your way!

I am SO PROUD of you! You stood up to the man! That's such a big deal!!!!!!

After three days of induction attempts, it's clear at least to me that your LO is not ready to come out yet. For heaven's sake! I'm so proud of you, mama, for sticking up for you, your baby, and for women everywhere who are bullied, shamed and feared into unnecessary, more risky medical procedures.

Really, I couldn't think you more awesome, and I don't even know you! Here's to a safe delivery on your LO's schedule!!!

Way to go! Sounds like your baby isn't quite ready to come yet. Here's to hoping you can go into labor this weekend.

Impressive, Mama!!! It's obvious that your body & baby were not ready and I'm so impressed by your strength in that situation. So go for a walk around the block - many times - and allow your body to progress naturally and comfortably. Hugs to you!!!!
