Heat rash? Dipes need stripped?

So this is the second time my dd has had this rash. She gets all of these red pimple like bumps for a few days then they open up and dry out and go away. It kind of seems like a heat rash to me but I'm not sure. The first time she got it she was at the beach with my mom who put her in a normal disposable to swim in...DUH of course it was all full of water and I'm sure was hot and icky. We continnued with our cloth and it got worse so I switched to disposables for a pack and super washed all of out cloth (lots of just hot water washes, vinegar, and even a little bleach...) So we have been back on cloth for a few days and all was well until this morning and all of the little bumps were back. If the dipes need to be stripped or wouldn't the rash have come back as soon we put her back in cloth? I put some dipe cream and a disposable on her this afternoon so we'll see. If it is heat rash what can i do? We use some BG organic and PF's with Bummis. I know wool might be good choice but can't really afford it right now.

Could you let her go coverless at home?

When my DD would get that I either let her be naked or go coverless in a prefold.

I also found that cutting up strips of fleece and laying them in the diaper like a liner really helped to wick away moisture and keep her really dry.

if you look up the dr. sears website and search for a yeast rash, there is a good photo of what one looks like. if that is what it is, they are stubborn as anything! he also has recommended treatments for them on his website. my daughter got them easily in the summertime.

for washing her diapers when she had yeast rash, i would (still do) add vinegar to the rinse cycle every time. i regularly strip her diapers also. i change her extra frequently in hot weather, let her run naked for a period of time every day if possible. we also use baby powder (or just pure cornstarch) every diaper change.

i know it sounds overly villigent, but her yeast rashes were a pain to get rid of for good. we don't want a recurrence or them!

I always like to throw in food sensitivity just as a thought. For most people that's probably not it, but it was at our house. Soy and certain fruits.

Any diet changes?

food sensitivities were the cause for the yeast rash in our house as well. fortunately after eliminating them completely and being very strict about her diet for about 6 months she can eat much more freely than before without return of her symptoms.

Thanks mamas. I have been trying to let her run naked or in training pants we are introducing her to the potty too . I don't think it's yeast because it went away on it's own then came back...but I'll watch it. She hasn't had any food changes recently. I prrobably just need to be better about changing her more frequently....I'm pg with twins (33 weeks) and she hates having her dipe changed so runs away from me and puts up a huge fight.
