are you still temping?

hey everyone, new here 4weeks, 3days prego.

i'm thinking i'm going to keep taking my temperature for awhile. i'm so used to stalking everybody's charts in the TTC forum, but i'm tired of clicking on you guys looking for yours... haven't found any yet!

so, two questions really:

- how long are you going to keep temping, if at all?

- i had a high spike wednesday, my first bfp, but two lower temps thursday and today. in fact, in a falling pattern - yike! any experiences to share??

thanks ahead of time - happy to be here!

I think it's probably a good idea to stop temping once you get a BFP so you won't freak out if you see your temp dropping. But that's just my opinion, I don't know if a lot of other people continue temping after getting a BFP. I think your temperature can fluctuate a bit even if you are pregnant...and there's so much to worry about in early pregnancy, I'd prefer not to add anything else to the list!

I temp'ed for a little over a week after my BFP with my DD. I had ups and downs and all sorts of things that sent me into a tizzy of Google'ing. I finally made myself stop -- and it helped so much!

I stopped immediately after this BFP. Once or twice since I've done a middle-of-the-day temp and seen that it's high for "normal". That makes me happy and doesn't cause stress.

smart ladies, and thank you! i'm sure you're so right. i'm trying to figure out what signs i can use now to monitor myself, before the obvious ones come, but i don't want to make myself crazy - that's exactly what i'm trying to AVOID.

besides, ALL of the sudden, the beeping is driving my husband MAD, now why would that be??

and thanks, jenfl for saying hi in the other thread

I think, unfortunately, you've got to just trust your body for a while. Temps aren't going to tell you much, and neither are HPTs (because the dyes can vary so much). You'll probably be miserably sick in a few weeks, so TRY (I know how hard it is) to be confident in your body and enjoy this time when you feel like yourself but have such a fun little secret from the world.

I stopped right away, because I knew it would scare me every time I had a low temp. Also, I hated temping, so i was glad to not have to remember every morning. :P

I'm still temping, but I think I'll stop. I keep having little fluctuations, and don't want to deal with the stress of wondering what each little dip might (or might not) mean

Ive stopped temping. I think that would be too stressfull...I would be thinking 'omg - its down a point degree....whats going on - am I going to miscarry...etc etc'... So nope - stopped temping! lol

I've stopped temping too, although like a pp a check occasionally during the day just to see that it's still my post O temps.
I actually stopped temping last month because it was kinda making me crazy during ttc!
