First PP AF?

So, DS is almost 10 months old. : and I have yet to have AF return.


How did you know it was returning? I've been having pimples, like I normally do before AF, and an achey tummy. The worst thing is that DS is getting pimples too, just like when I was newly PP!



So what do you think? Is it going to return anytime soon?

AF didn't arrive until 17 months PP for me. I knew when it was coming because I was charting. I had ewcm on and off for 3 months before I finally ovulated, and when I did I had all the same symptoms I used to get. Of course that doesn't help if AF arrives after an anovulatory cycle.
It is pretty tricky to predict - your body can mess with you for months before AF finally arrives

The time without AF after my first was 14 months which happens to be right on average for those who continue nursing on demand (many have shorter or longer). This time since learning fertility awareness I'm 2.5 months PP and have noticed several attempts at fertility, signs of increasing estrogen like cervical fluid, cervical position, and libido, and after them have had pre menstrual symptoms at the drop in hormones. But over and over the hormones don't get high enough to top that hill of ovulation, and my cycles don't really start up.

Mine came almost exactly 10m pp. DD was STTN consistently by then (had started 4-6w earlier) and thus we weren't nursing overnight. I had changes in CM the month before (mostly in that I went from none to some and then to EW). It was still a shock, though, on the day it finally started.

I think this is what is happening to me. I've got other signs that hormone levels are returning to normal, like my mustache grew back : and new, generous amounts of mucus. DS has pimples on his back, and chest, just where I get huge cystic ones right before AF. And I have huge cystic ones, right now.


I'm thinking end of august. . .I'm kind of eager for it- I guess it's a sign things are returning to normal....

oh, and, ds is not sleeping through the night. he might have been, but his teeth finally came in!
