Extremely painful PP AF?

Somehow I believe I'm about to have a period. This would be my first in 2 1/2 years... and I HURT SO BAD.

Cramping, bloatedness, stomach upset, oh my goodness I HURT. I'm curled up in a fetal position on the couch with my laptop because standing made me cry. It doesn't feel like stomach problems, it definately feels like period cramps.

Is this normal? Please tell me I won't have this forever. I never had period problems before pregnancy. Is the first one normally really bad?

I can't tell you for sure because my first pp period was a miscarriage. The two I have had since then have been really miserable though. I am not a happy camper.

after 3 mine were completely back to normal with all three pregnancies (well the first it only took 1 to get back to normal, but I miscarried at 13 weeks, and the period following the miscarriage was equally painfull)

My first PPAF was, sorry for the language, the Period from Hell. Major cramps for several days preceding, then heavy flow beyond awful. It was worse bleeding than after I had my daughter! Hope that's not TMI, just wanted to let you know it sounds kinda normal. Hope you're feeling better soon!

Although as I read your post, it struck me that it could be some sort of intestinal bug instead, sometimes the symptoms are similar.
