Vaccinations required for college courses

I'm planning to register for community college this next semester for a nursing program, eventually hoping to become a certified nurse midwife and there are vaccines required. Are their waivers, or do I have to get them? I'm pretty sure I've had the ones required, as a child, but in the event I'm not able to prove it (I'd have to check with my parents, look into my medical history, etc) would I absolutely HAVE to get them again? These are the requirements for the program.

I'm entering my senior year of nursing school. Basically, yeah, it sucks, but if you want to be allowed into the clinical setting (which is necessary to complete your coursework) you will have to comply with their (meaning the hospital, and, in turn, the school) requirements.

I'm going tomorrow to get my PPD (done every year) and I'm not thrilled about that.. and this year we have a new requirement where the flu vax is not optional - last year I was able to opt out - but it is required and we will not be able to attend our clinicals until that requirement is met. And if you don't attend clinicals, you fail out.

Even if the school itself accepts exemptions, the nursing program has their own rules, etc. and they are bound by the hospital as well. It's VERY strict.

Would that fall under the whole federal funding exemption thing? Where if a school receives any kind of federal funding, then they have to follow the exemption rules?

: Hospital employees are offered and strongly encouraged to take but not *forced* to take vaccinations (though we had to take the TB tests). I think it sucks that the nursing school requires them

Try to get your titer levels tested and see if they will accept that.
