Nursing Bra Questions

I cam here because I don't know where else to post this question and I figure there would be some wise women here. :

Currently I wear a 38F, have since the start of this pregnancy. The only thig I have had to do is buy an extender due to lack of breathing room with out it.

I am wanting to buy a few nursing bras, so I went to the nearest town(90 miles) away to see what I could find. Walmart was the only place that had nursing bras. Only one halfway fit. So my only option at this point is to drive 3+ hours or order online. I don't feel all that comfy traveling 3 hours one way at 38 weeks. So I have been looking online at Bravado. They have a bra called The Supreme Nursing Bra which looks like it has great support.

Question One- Has anyone worn one, and if so is it great for larger breasted women?

Question Two- What size do I order? I know that is the hard one cause my milk will come in and my breasts will grow, but is there a rule of thumb??

Question Three- Should I wait until my milk comes in to order a nursing bra, and just use the ones that I am wearing? There is a coupon floating around for 20% off that would be great because the bra is $50.00, but it expires on monday.

If you have gotten this far, thanks for reading.

I have this bra! I don't remember what size I bought it in but I think I'm a 40E? I also have their sugar and spice bra (zero support) and the sports bra looking one. The only thing I don't like is that little keyhole in the front. I don't like it closed or open.

Before pregnancy, I was a 38D then grew to a 38DD, 40DD and 40E toward the end. I still haven't found my "perfect" bra but the Bravado Supreme bra has the best support for me.

I didn't find any of the bravado bra's had enough support, then again I'm a 38I at this point. I just bought some online through http://birthandbaby.com/. they have a lot in the bigger sizes and shipping to and from was easy. Maybe buy two now, having some room in them pre-birth and then you may find you need more later. One thing that definitely came up was that my ridcage size went down quickly again. Good luck.

I'm not particularly large breasted, but I do need support and I personally haven't found a bravado bra that meets the bill and I end up with back aches and having my breasts hang. However, they do work for some women so YMMV.

In terms of post-pregnancy bra sizing, it's impossible to predict! After my daughter was born, my bra size increased DRAMATICALLY by several sizes and I kept changing size for about six months until I settled on a size that was about 2 cup sizes and one band size larger than my pregnancy size. At one point, I went to Target and bought the largest unstructured jogging bra I could find and that barely fit (and I'm not a large person). With my son, my pregnancy size was one cup size up from my pre-pregnancy size and my post-pregnancy size is actually smaller than it's been in years (and years and years -- actually smaller than I was in high school!) even though I have a great supply. Unless you can return and/or exchange the bra if it turns out to not work for you, I would suggest holding off on a purchase until you know what your needs will be.

Pre pregnancy I was a 36DD , during pregnancy I was a 36E now that I am nursing I am a 36F. I would recommend waiting to see how large 'the girls' end up getting. That being said, my favorite brand for bras this pregnancy has been Anita.

I found the bravado to be okay for a house bra, but around town I needed more support.

Good luck!

I love love love this Medela bra. I have one in 40F right now, probably need to go down a size in cup or band though.

Breakout bras has excellent service, a great return policy, and a big selection of bras for us larger breasted mamas. They had some great recommendations when I called too.
