Or shall I just swap it? It's been sitting in my stash for over a year, I love the colours but the texture is just weird. What do I do with it?

How much of it do you have? I've been thinking about making this lapghan. Projects on Ravelry turned out well using boucle and similiar texture yarn, but I think you'd need at least 500-600? yds.
