Have a way to babywear at the beach?

Would love to have a sling to hold dd in water...anyone know where I could find such a thing? I think I've heard of "shower slings", I'm assuming something like that would work. Has anyone made their own?

A solarveil sling or pouch would work great for this. It's a fast drying mesh material. You can often find them used on thebabywearer.com boards.

The material isn't made anymore but you can often find them used or even new as sale items at many wahm sites.

I used a solarveil sling at the beach quite often and it was great since it dried fast and the sand shook out of it easily.

Karma Baby has a water sling. I have never tried one although it has always been on my personal wish list.

I've seen both Solarveil pouches and a cool solarweave buckle carrier at this canadian store: www.tadpoles.ca

Oh, and they have a stretchy wrap as well!

I have a couple ringslings made from different athletic fabrics. They dry quickly and all, but they slip horribly until the fabric in the rings is wet. And then I have this cold wet tail dripping on me. I have both the pool pouch and the SSC on my wish list.

The Gypsy Mama wrap is really nice if you like to use wraps. You can even face them out if you want.

Kangaroo Korner has a few options for wearing in water - slings and pouches. I haven't personally used them, but I do have a KK fleece pouch - it's beautiful and well made.
