Is it possible to prep prefolds w/not dryer? I have a outta town friend who has brand new ones & no dryer she can go to a laundry mat & will if nessisary but we were just curious if there was a way?

You can just wash them numerous times without drying. The dryer does seem to help them fluff up more quickly, but I noticed a big difference in mine with simple hot washes and a little bit of detergent (on the first load). I washed 3 times (again, detergent only the first time), then dried, and repeated. I imagine doing 6 hot washes would be a pretty good start for them, even without the drying in between.

drying basically helps fluff them up but its not totally necessary to do so. just know that for a while they may not be at there peek assorbancy so changing a bit more often at first may be necessary but whats great about prefolds is they get better over time. If you do decide to head to a dryer know one round will be fine no need to countinusly dry between cycles.
