Has anyone been hassled in urgent care about not vaxing?

This has happened twice now, and the condescending tone of the nurses gets really annoying!

That sucks. Our urgent care is wonderful about no vaxing. Really they just write it down and move on. I have had a couple of nurses ask why but in a nice, respectful way. It could be because my boys are on the spectrum and most people assume that is the reason we don't vax(we have to inform them of the kids being autistic on the way in because they have serious doctor issues).

I was never asked at urgent care. They just stitched her up and we left.

I've never once been asked about vax in the er or a clinic.

We've never been haggled about it really. They usually ask if he is up date on vaxes and i say we don't and they leave it at that. Though once we came back from india and took ds to urgent care late at night, and i asked about the risks of malaria the doc. acted a bit annoyed that we didn't do the malaria prevention meds. (he ended up having an ear infection which he never had before) But other than that no problems, we've only been probably 3 times in 2 years.

Once. DS got a piece of glass stuck in his leg and it needed to be removed and stitched. It was bleeding like crazy too. The doc asked about tetanus, I said no....he said he would need the vax and I asked why. He said because he was cut. I said, "Well then why would you give him the vax instead of the immunolglobulin?" His response was hilarious to me. "Yeah....okay fine never mind."

I have been to the er twice. They ask me and when I asked about the immunoglobulin they always look at me like I am crazy...They have said to me twice, " I don't know what that is". ?????

I havnt had trouble because I just say they are up to date. We where never there for an illness that could be a possible vbd.

If I ever take one in for a possible vpd I will inform them of the vax status but for anything else they dont need to know.

Oh when we went to the ER after the car accident the nurse asked me if she was up to date on her tetinus and I said yes. She had no bleeding wounds of any kind so I am guessing she asked me in case of surgery or because that is just a question on the sheet she had.

: That's real nice, yet not surprising I guess.
