Prodromal labor support thread - Page 2

I haven't posted because I thought that maybe I didn't really have it that bad.

OMG. The last two days have been awful. Nightime contractions painfull enough to keep me up. I am not a nice person when I am exhausted. I have to pee almost after each one (ranging from 3-7 min apart for two- three hours).

Yesterday afternoon I lost my plug. A HUGE BROWN mess. I never have seen something like that (and this is my third). So I got really excited. Nope. Nadda. More contractions at night. Then this morning a huge bowel movement, which was uncomfortable since I have been clearing them for two days and pink, red mucus. So I thought good sign. Nope. I have had about 6 contractions since my feet hit the floor after the bowel movement.

What is going on in there? I can't handle too many more nights of this. It is really setting in because it is happening at night.

Oppps and I am due today. Not overdue yet, which wouldn't make me as crazy as all these sure thing signs that are clearly not a sure thing.

yea so after I typed it up they started to really slow down. Maybe I've had 1 an hour. Exhausted today I suppose they were pretty strong and regular last night. Need to get walking.

This sounds a lot like me Thursday bloody show, contraxs, soft stool and more visits to the bathroom. Continued until Saturday into Sunday early morning, baby was here by Sunday afternoon. So maybe you might get a similar experiences

I'm not due for another 2 weeks, but I've already had two false alarms. Of course the contractions fizzle out as soon as I watch the clock

My body has been showing signs of labor for the last three weeks (bloody show, losing MP twice, intense BH contractions, loose BMs, etc.) Every time I start to get excited, things fizzle out and I go back to being miserable and still pregnant.

I've finally decided to stop being so anxious and just try to enjoy the rest of this pregnancy since it's our last.

ugh! was in labor from aug 4-7. not so bad compared to some of you but frustrating nonetheless. to make it worse we had driven 2 hours and got a hotel to be close to the birth center, so it was costing us money the whole time. and apparently b/c i went "overdue" a week of maternity leave was unpaid....something i had not planned on.

it was the day i was sick of watching the clock and ignored contractions until i couldn't that labor went from prodromal to active....

So, last night, I had my first bout of real prodromal labor. I had contractions waking me up pretty much on the hour every hour. There were a couple of times that I had two or more within the hour and lasting for over a minute. I know that is pretty laid back compared to how frequent some of you ladies were having your contractions. My due date is on monday, so, I am hoping that this won't be weeks of prodromal labor, but more for just a couple of days. I haven't had any real noticeable contractions since 6am, but I have had a few minor ones. Since I hadn't been having much labor signs at all, it is nice to know that something is finally happening. Even though, I know not anytime soon most likely.

Had contrax ranging from 5 minutes apart for hours all day yesterday, then 4 minutes apart all evening, then 3 minutes all night keeping me awake. Finally fell asleep around 4am and woke up at 11 to NADA. No other signs.

Due date is Monday. Wow. It's amazing that with my 3rd pregnancy, I have NO clue what's going on and when.....

I had all of the same stuff: mucus plug, strong contractions that woke me up at night, lots of trips to the bathroom and after 3 days baby was here. Labor was super easy after all of the false starts and the only part that actually hurt was the last 50 mins because of the intensity of transition. It honestly made all of the prodromal labor worth it (did I just say that?)

I'm there too.
Mucous plug, bloody show, increasing visits to the bathroom, lots of itty-bitty maybe contractions and a few ouch contractions.

But still no baby yet. I did end up timing the contractions once, which scared them away VERY quickly. I've had lots of backache and crampy feelings that reminded me what I'll be looking forward to right before my periods.

C'mon baby c'mon!

Yes you did, and I'm glad you did........it helps to hear.........

yep, more false labor last night. Some of them really hurt too. 7 more days to my due date per 6 week ultrasound so at least I know that I won't be 2 weeks overdue!! I think from reading it is 1.2 weeks either side.....
of course, some things say it is 5 days on either side....
