I would like to announce that I finally completed my first crochet project! Until now, I've been doing squares of random stitches just to practice and giving them to DS for doll blankets, or starting a pattern several times and pulling it out every time. Well, I went to The Farm this past week for a workshop and took my crocheting with me. It took me most of the week, but I finished a 12-square blanket for my niece in beautiful rose and cream colors. It was a very simple pattern (here it is if anyone wants it, I used a slimmer thread and made 12 squares). I also got a good bit done on a hat for DS, which I hope to finish tomorrow.
I just wanted to share - I am so thrilled that I actually got it done! I'll post a pic as soon as my friend emails it to me. My next project is this sweater for DS in a red, white, and green Christmas yarn. It's by far the most complicated pattern I've attempted, so I'm giving myself plenty of time before Christmas to finish it up. Wish me luck!
