Cloth pads and a Lunette cup-advice please!!

I have a Lunette on it's way, but I still need to make some mama pads. How many do I need and what type? I was going to be using flannel and terry for the insides, with pul and a fleece backing (doing a wingless version). Any tips from mamas who btdt would be awesome!!
I'd say my flow is average-fairly heavy in the beginning, then gradually tapering off. It does last about 7 days, though. TIA!!

I have my own homemade mama pads. I used the pattern on Hillbillyhousewife.com. It is nice because you sew an outer layer and then add in however many inserts you need for your flow. I made my outsides with flannel salvaged from old sheets and pajamas. The insides are made from matress covers. I stitch a couple layers together to make them thicker.
